President Nicușor Dan expressed, on Wednesday, appreciation for the results of the North Atlantic Council meeting held at NATO headquarters in Brussels. He emphasized that allies have demonstrated strong solidarity with Romania following recent incidents related to drones.


Dan considers it essential to strengthen NATO's presence and capabilities in Romania, especially regarding countering threats arising from the use of aerial and maritime drones. Additionally, the president announced that an agreement has been reached to accelerate NATO projects aimed at responding to these threats, with the goal of approving support measures for affected allies at the Ankara Summit.
