President Nicușor Dan stated that, although it is legitimate for the Superior Council of Magistracy (CSM) to defend judges, it is not acceptable for it to escalate existing social tensions. During a press conference, Dan commented on the CSM's actions to send 'black lists' of journalists and NGOs that have allegedly criticized the judiciary.

He emphasized that, although it is important for each party to defend its point of view, naming individuals and legal entities is not correct. The president mentioned that escalating the conflict only negatively affects Romanian society and acknowledged that he does not have 'institutional means' to intervene in this situation.
