This summer, new rules for beach rentals are being introduced on the Romanian coast. The Consumer Protection Agency recommends the establishment of special areas for non-smokers, in support of families with children who wish to avoid cigarette smoke in crowded areas.

Beach administrators, such as Dorin Ciubotaru, have stated that they can adapt to the requirements, but educating smoking tourists plays a crucial role in respecting these areas. The president of ANPC, Csaba Lajos Békési, emphasized the importance of clearly delineating areas for smokers and non-smokers, so that everyone can enjoy the beach.

Opinions among tourists are mixed; some support the idea, while others believe that smoke will be inevitable. The mayor of Limanu, Mihai Feodorof, mentioned that the rules must be respected, even in resorts known for nonconformity.
