New information in the case of the accident in Timiș: drugs and technical malfunctions

The tragic accident in Timiș County, which resulted in the death of seven people and the injury of three others, is the subject of an ongoing investigation. According to sources, drugs were found in the minibus involved, and the police are examining whether they were consumed by the driver or passengers before the accident. Surveillance camera footage is being analyzed to reconstruct the events, including the reason why the driver went into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a truck.

One of the survivors stated that the steering wheel got stuck due to the lane-keeping assistance system, which led to the loss of control of the vehicle. The investigation is considering both human error and a possible technical malfunction of the minibus, with all information being centralized into a criminal case for manslaughter and bodily harm due to negligence.
