Nadia Comăneci will start the National Cross "Olympic Day" 2026 in Bucharest, alongside other Olympic champions.

The Romanian Olympic and Sports Committee (COSR) announced that Nadia Comăneci will participate in the 2026 edition of the National Cross "Olympic Day", an event that will take place on June 6, in Bucharest, in the Arc de Triumf area. The former great gymnast will officially start the races, as part of an event dedicated to promoting sports and Olympic values.

Participants of all ages are expected at the event, and the organizers have prepared several races by age categories. All runners will receive medals and t-shirts, and those on the podium will be rewarded with prizes. The event is part of a series of actions organized in the context of "Nadia Comăneci Year 2026", marked 50 years after the historic performance at the Montreal Olympic Games.
