The Ministry of National Defense (MApN) announced that, on July 19, the radar surveillance system identified a group of aerial targets near the border with Romania, east of the town of Vâlcove, Ukraine.
As a result of this detection, the National Military Command Center notified the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations, which issued a RO-Alert message for the population in the northern part of Tulcea County.
MApN emphasized that, during the alert, no unauthorized incursions into national airspace were reported, nor any impacts of any aerial vehicle on the territory of Romania. The air alert was lifted at 14:34. The Ministry continues to monitor the situation near the border and to inform allied structures in real-time about such events.
