Mircea Fechet, a Liberal MEP and former minister, said that retirement bonuses granted automatically, unrelated to personal achievements, are immoral and violate meritocracy. He compares Romsilva bonuses to those at the Constitutional Court, where judges receive large sums at the end of their term. Fechet succeeded in blocking bonuses for Romsilva employees through an ordinance and hopes that those at the CCR will disappear, saying that all citizens deserve justice.
