The Ministry of Energy has stated that the shutdown of the Brazi power plant will not affect the security of electricity supply in Romania. The plant's capacity of 832 MW can be fully compensated by the available resources in the National Energy System, which has a total capacity of over 19,800 MW.

The institution emphasized that, despite the shutdown of the plant, the energy system remains stable and capable of meeting the consumption demands of the population and industry. This statement comes in the context of concerns regarding energy security, assuring citizens that there are no immediate risks in energy supply.
