Radu Miruță announced the dismissal of the commander of the military unit at Murfatlar because he buys sneakers and t-shirts with Army money.

The interim Minister of Defense, Radu Miruță, stated that, following some inspections, serious irregularities were discovered at the military unit in Murfatlar. The commander of the unit was dismissed after it was found that he was reimbursing personal items, such as t-shirts and tracksuits, through the unit's accounting. Additionally, he forced soldiers to work in his household, including painting his apartment and preparing meals for personal events.

Radu Miruță emphasized that the situation was unacceptable, and the commander was removed from his position. During the inspection, food products were found and there was a significant shortage of diesel. Furthermore, a doctor within the Ministry of Defense was identified using false certificates to hold inappropriate positions. The case has been reported to the Military Prosecutor's Office, and the doctor's authorization has been revoked.
