According to a draft order published on the Ministry of Transport's website, the fare for a single trip would increase from 3 lei currently to 5 lei, and the monthly pass from 80 lei to 100 lei. Metrorex invokes the decrease in the degree of subsidization of passenger transport by metro, as well as the need to cover operating costs.
