A draft law adopted by Parliament bans the lump sum for accommodation for MPs who own homes in Bucharest or Ilfov county. The measure is aimed at MPs and senators who live or own, together with their spouses, a residential property in these areas. The decision comes after recent cases in which MPs were simultaneously receiving money for accommodation, even though they had their own homes in the capital.
