Wednesday, September 17, the Romanian Air Force carried out a medical evacuation mission from Israel, transporting ten Palestinian pediatric patients and 28 relatives, at the request of the Department for Emergency Situations. This action was coordinated through the European Union Civil Protection Mechanism, in response to the worsening security situation in the Gaza Strip. The medical team consisted of specialized personnel from the DSU and the Ministry of Defense. This is the second mission of this kind, following a similar evacuation in July.
