Marius Voineag, the general prosecutor of DNA, stated that the institution's main objective was to create quality files, avoiding forcing things or making "firefighting acts." In an interview on Antena 3, he emphasized that in the last three years, numerous significant files have been developed, such as those related to the Port of Constanța and various political personalities. Voineag explained that DNA has acted cautiously to avoid reputational risks and has been attentive to criticism from journalists. He mentioned the importance of maintaining decent communication to avoid creating unrealistic expectations among the public.

"I do not believe that we made a mistake. I have said from the very beginning that we need to do substantive things. We have done everything in our power to enhance our institutional capacities so that we can deliver quality files. And we have had significant files in these three years, whether we are talking about the file regarding the Port of Constanța, or the file of the party's first vice-president, Iulian Dumitrescu, involving a certain amount of bribery, we are talking about Buzatu, we are talking about the former minister Cuc, more recently. There are many files, General Zisu, the file of General Ioniță from the Military Hospital.

We prioritized cases based on facts, not on individuals. We were not interested in fixing targets. From the very beginning, we operated on the idea that the target is not important, because it would be illegal. I clearly stated that we would build major cases. The file from the Port of Constanța, for example, took us five to six months to introduce three investigators. The investigation at the Port of Constanța is cinematic. We are talking about contracts worth hundreds of millions of euros and a bribe of 6.5 million euros. Can we say that these cases are small? Under no circumstances," stated the chief prosecutor of DNA, Marius Voineag, on Wednesday evening, on Antena 3.
