A 26-year-old man, wanted at the national level, was caught on Saturday by police after a chase on the Sun Highway.

The police from the A2 Bucharest-Cernavodă Highway Police Office attempted to stop a car, but the driver ignored the signals and accelerated. The chase ended violently at the intersection of highways A0 and A2, where the young man lost control of the steering wheel, hit the guardrail, and overturned. Although he managed to get out of the car and flee, he was immobilized by the police. Checks revealed that there was a preventive arrest warrant against him for theft and driving without a license.

During the search, the police discovered substances believed to be cannabis and amphetamines, as well as utensils for preparing them. A woman in the vehicle suffered injuries and required medical attention.
