A strong fire broke out at a polystyrene warehouse in Arad, generating thick smoke visible from the city. Firefighters are intervening with special vehicles.

A major fire broke out Wednesday morning at a warehouse located at the exit of the municipality of Arad, near the locality of Zădăreni, causing large flames and dense smoke emissions.

The incident is taking place in the Aradul Nou neighborhood, on the left bank of the Mureș River.

Firefighters quickly intervened with three fire trucks, and two SMURD ambulances were sent to the scene to provide necessary medical assistance.

The dense smoke generated by the fire is visible from the opposite side of the city, according to local reports.

It appears that the fire broke out at the warehouse of a factory that produces polystyrene, located near the A1 Highway.

Authorities continue to monitor the situation.
