Bogdan Despescu, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, announced important changes within the 'Traffic Safety' project, including the integration of surveillance cameras into the e-Sigur system for more efficient management of fines. The concept of average speed will be introduced in the Road Code, thus aligning with legislation from other European countries. The sanctioning mechanism will be simplified, with fines being sent directly to the vehicle owner, and penalty points for illegal parking will be eliminated. These measures aim to improve road safety and the efficiency of law enforcement.
