On Saturday morning, firefighters intervened to extinguish a fire at the restaurant La Cocoșatu, located on Neagoe Vodă Street, in the northern part of the Capital. The fire was reported at the level of the roof, in the area of the smoke evacuation duct, with the risk of spreading to a neighboring building.
Daniel Vasile, spokesperson for ISUBIF, confirmed that the fire was localized to an area of approximately 5 square meters and that its development was limited. So far, no individuals have been reported with medical issues, and 20 customers were evacuated without needing medical care.
At the scene, eight fire-fighting vehicles, one vehicle for high-altitude interventions, and two SMURD ambulances were mobilized. After stabilizing the situation, ISU announced the gradual withdrawal of the intervention teams.
The restaurant La Cocoșatu, known for its appreciated mici, was inaugurated in 1993 and is one of the oldest private restaurants in Bucharest, with a capacity of approximately 125 seats.
