In November 2025, deputies Diana Stoica and Raluca Turcan, alongside parliamentarians from USR, PNL, UDMR, and PSD, submitted two legislative initiatives in Parliament. The first initiative proposes raising the minimum age for participating in gambling from 18 to 21 years, being adopted by the Senate with 96 votes in favor, 8 against, and 2 abstentions.

The second initiative provides for the prohibition of broadcasting online, between the hours of 06:00 and 24:00, content that promotes gambling, including advertising with well-known personalities that could encourage participation in these games. This was adopted with 90 votes in favor, 9 against, and 10 abstentions. The projects will be further discussed in the Chamber of Deputies, which is the decision-making body.
