The draft law allowing exemptions from the theory test for driving licenses has been sent back to Parliament for reconsideration.

The proposed law aims to supplement Emergency Ordinance No 195/2002, allowing some driving licenses to be obtained without the theoretical test, under certain conditions. The President called for the text to be re-examined, pointing out that it did not comply with the requirements of a European directive on the minimum experience required. It also highlighted the need to correlate legislative rules to ensure the quality of the law. The draft was adopted with amendments but needs further adjustments.
