Ioan Alin Demian, the current chief of staff of Energy Minister Bogdan Ivan, has been nominated to represent the Romanian state on the Supervisory Board of Hidroelectrica. Demian, who is also the minister's godson-in-law, has significant political experience, having been a former public administrator and deputy mayor of Coșbuc commune. The proposal will be voted on at the Ordinary General Shareholders' Meeting on September 8. The Energy Ministry owns more than 80% of Hidroelectrica, a leading Romanian electricity producer.
