The National Institute of Public Health announced a significant increase in COVID-19 cases in July, with 1,703 new infections, a 232% increase from June. Of these, 442 are reinfections. There were also 7 deaths, mostly in patients with comorbidities. Testing increased, with a 10.9% positive rate. So far, Romania has reported over 3.5 million cases of infection.
