The data published by the National Institute of Statistics (INS) shows that the volume of construction works in Romania increased by over 8% in the first 11 months of 2025, compared to the same period in 2024.

In the period from January to November 2025, the volume of construction works increased by 8.5% compared to the same period in 2024, with a significant increase in capital repair works (+48.0%) and new constructions (+6.1%). However, maintenance and current repair works decreased by 4.4%. Compared to October 2025, the volume of works decreased by 2.7%, especially in maintenance and current repair works (-4.5%) and new constructions (-2.0%). In November 2025, compared to November 2024, the volume of works decreased by 1.9%, with notable decreases in maintenance works (-9.1%) and new constructions (-5.7%), while capital repair works increased by 34.2%. Seasonally adjusted, the volume of works increased by 0.4%, with increases in residential buildings (+23.6%) and non-residential buildings (+21.8%), but a decrease in engineering constructions (-10.9%).
