IGSU has preventive measures and supplements crews in 9 counties affected by the orange code for severe weather.

Following the orange code for severe weather issued by the National Meteorological Administration, IGSU has ordered subordinate units to take measures for the prevention and management of emergency situations. Firefighter teams and intervention means will be supplemented in the counties of Buzău, Brăila, Călărași, Giurgiu, Ialomița, Dâmbovița, Teleorman, Vaslui, and Vrancea to ensure a rapid response.

Firefighters have provided recommendations to citizens, urging them to avoid travel during blizzards and heavy snowfall and to ensure that vehicles are properly equipped for winter conditions.
