Thirteen employees of the Oltenia Energy Complex have started a hunger strike, protesting against the possible loss of meal vouchers and the decrease in income. They are requesting government support for the approval of a Memorandum that would exempt the company from the austerity measures provided in Law no. 296/2023. The prefect of Gorj County, Șerban Predescu, had a meeting with the protesters, who warned that without a favorable decision, the strike could continue and extend to other structures within the company. The Oltenia Energy Complex has developed a Memorandum to ensure meal vouchers for all employees, which has been sent to the Ministry of Energy for approval. The company emphasizes the importance of maintaining a stable social climate and protecting employees' rights.
