On Friday, Austria was affected by heavy snowfall that caused significant disruptions in transportation and power outages. Vienna International Airport announced that air traffic is disrupted, with over 230 flights diverted, canceled, or delayed.

Passengers whose flights have been canceled are advised not to go to the airport, where 20 cm of snow has accumulated. Additionally, the Vienna ring road (A21) has been temporarily closed, and other sections of the highway have been affected by traffic jams and reduced visibility. Furthermore, power outages have been reported in the south and east of Austria, affecting 30,000 households in Styria. Authorities continue to monitor the situation and provide updated information.
