Health employees are on the second day of an indefinite general strike. Representatives of Sanitas, the organization that initiated the protest, announce that doctors, nurses, and other medical staff are "more determined" and "more united," believing that their demands are "fair" and that their voice must "be heard."
The negotiations, which took place including at the Cotroceni Palace, did not persuade the employees in the system to abandon the protest. The unionists are asking the Government to make the necessary changes to the salary law project, stating that their action does not represent "a desired option, but a direct consequence of the authorities' refusal to consider the arguments of those who represent the rights of hundreds of thousands of employees in health and social assistance."
