During the presentation conference of the National Security Barometer 2026, Lino Lim, CEO of Hanwha Aerospace Romania, emphasized the importance of using the SAFE mechanism to build a sustainable defense industry ecosystem in Romania. Lim highlighted the lessons learned from South Korea's experience, where the creation of an industrial ecosystem was essential for the development of defense companies.

Hanwha collaborates with over 1,800 partners, generating strong companies with significant revenues. Lim stressed that international funding should be used not only for acquisitions but also to develop local capabilities. He proposed to the Romanian Government a plan whereby 80% of production should be carried out in the country, including the development of drones and the production of armaments. Hanwha is committed to contributing to the growth of the defense industry in Romania and creating long-term opportunities for local companies.
