The government has approved a draft law to implement the DORA Directive, which will bring new regulations in the field of cyber security.

The NORA Directive will be implemented in Romania as of January 17, 2025, together with an EU Regulation on Digital Operational Resilience for the Financial Sector. This legislative package aims to strengthen cybersecurity in financial services, including early notification of major security incidents.
