The Minister of the Environment, Mircea Fechet, announced the purchase of 46 drones equipped with sensors and thermal imaging for the National Environmental Guard (GNM). These drones will help identify sources of pollution, including in hard-to-reach areas. GNM commissioners have been trained to use them in environmental inspections, thus having access to accurate data to combat pollution. The project, financed through the Sustainable Development Program, also includes 21 mobile air quality monitoring stations.
