Four people have been arrested for cocaine trafficking in Bucharest, Ilfov, and Dolj.

Four people, two men and two women aged between 23 and 34, have been placed in preventive detention for high-risk drug trafficking in Bucharest, Ilfov and Dolj counties. The criminal activity was documented by the police of the Organized Crime Fighting Brigade in Craiova, together with DIICOT prosecutors.

Between March and June 2026, three individuals allegedly procured, possessed, and sold cocaine, with amounts ranging from 800 to 6,000 lei. A 34-year-old man allegedly supported the trafficking activity.

Following home searches conducted on July 23, 2026, quantities of cocaine and other relevant evidence were confiscated. Prosecutors ordered the detention of the four, and the Dolj Tribunal decided on preventive arrest for 30 days. The operation was supported by the gendarmes from the 'Matei Basarab' Mobile Group in Ploiești.
