A powerful forest fire broke out today, around 5:50 PM, in a forest managed by the Tulcea Forestry District, initially affecting an area of half a hectare in plot 54A, near the locality of Plauru.
According to local testimonies, the most likely cause of the fire would be the explosion of a drone.
Currently, teams of foresters from Romsilva, volunteer firefighters, and local residents are working to locate and extinguish the fire.
Additionally, actions are underway to concentrate intervention forces, with forestry personnel from adjacent areas, motor pumps, and specific equipment.
Firefighters' support has been requested through the emergency number 112, to manage the situation effectively.
