On Thursday night, a 53-year-old man attempted to force his way into the premises of the Russian Embassy in Bucharest, after 3:00 AM. The gendarme at the security post intervened promptly and managed to stop the vehicle before it could enter the embassy's perimeter. At the scene, SRI teams arrived to manage the situation. The man tried to flee but surrendered after the gendarmes blocked his way. According to the police, he had a suspended driver's license, and drug tests revealed the presence of benzodiazepines and amphetamines in his system. The man was taken to the National Institute of Legal Medicine for biological sample collection. The gendarmerie confirmed that the embassy's security was not compromised and no victims or material damages were reported.
