On Tuesday evening, a fire at the Antefrig warehouse in sector 2 of Bucharest generated toxic smoke, affecting air quality in several neighborhoods. The pollution level reached alarming values, with PM10 particles seven times higher than the maximum allowable limit. After the intervention of dozens of fire trucks on Wednesday morning, the National Environmental Agency announced that pollution levels had returned to normal. During the peak period, between 8:00 PM and 10:00 PM, the monitoring station on Basarabia Boulevard recorded the highest concentrations.
