On Tuesday morning, a fire broke out at the Emergency Reception Unit of Bacău County Hospital, leading to the evacuation of about 140 people.
The Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (ISU) activated the operational group - Level I to coordinate the intervention. Firefighters evacuated 40 people, while approximately 100 others self-evacuated safely. The fire was identified on the first floor, in the restroom, where household waste, paper, and rags burned. The fire was extinguished, and ISU teams worked to ventilate the areas affected by smoke. Two fire trucks, one rescue vehicle, and one aerial ladder were mobilized for the intervention.
The probable cause of the fire was an open flame in enclosed spaces, with no casualties reported.
