The Labor Inspection imposed fines of over one million lei on some companies in HORECA and agriculture for "undeclared work".

The campaign, conducted between 07.07.2025 and 19.09.2025, targeted 439 companies that employed 2,997 day laborers, including 119 young people under 18 years old. Inspectors found irregularities such as the non-registration of day laborers, their use for unauthorized activities, and non-payment of wages. The Labor Inspection will continue to intensify controls to prevent the exploitation of day laborers and ensure compliance with labor legislation.
