On Wednesday morning, at the intersection of Gherghitei Street and Colentina Road in sector 2 of the Capital, a tragic accident occurred in which a pedestrian lost his life. The accident was reported around 11:20 AM, when a 46-year-old man, driving a truck, struck and injured a pedestrian crossing the street. The Traffic Brigade announced that, following the incident, the tram traffic on Colentina Road was restricted, and STB implemented diversion measures. The truck driver was tested with the Alcooltest device, the result being negative, and the causes of the accident will be determined through further investigations.
