The organizations in the Alliance for Agriculture and Cooperation (AAC) have sent an open letter to the Minister of Environment, Diana Buzoianu, requesting the simplification of procedures for obtaining environmental permits.
Farmers complain that bureaucracy is blocking their activity, with environmental approvals and permits being issued after months, leading to operations with expired permits. They are requesting an urgent meeting to discuss the legislative changes currently under public consultation, mentioning that some procedures should be eliminated, especially for activities without technological modifications. Additionally, farmers warn that the current form of the legislative project may generate conflicts between farmers and real estate developers, as well as additional costs. The signing organizations support compliance with environmental legislation but demand clear and proportional rules to avoid disproportionate penalties. The document is signed by several important associations in the agricultural field.
