Romania is under an extreme cold alert, with recorded minimum temperatures reaching as low as -18 degrees Celsius in several counties. Heavy snowfall has covered the roads, and authorities have intervened with machinery to clear the snow. In Bucharest, temperatures are expected to drop to -10 degrees, and the snow layer will continue to increase, reaching 7-9 cm in the coming days. Meteorologists warn that the wind will reach gusts of up to 70 km/h in the eastern part of the country, and the population is advised to avoid travel. The ports on the Black Sea are closed due to severe weather. From January 11 to 13, the weather will remain exceptionally cold, with snowfall and minimum temperatures of -10 degrees.
