The European Commission has approved a €241 million aid scheme notified by Romania to support agricultural producers affected by the war in Ukraine.

The scheme, approved under the Temporary Crisis Framework for State Aid, will provide direct grants to agricultural producers of crops, in particular winter cereals and oilseed rape. The aid is aimed at those who are in danger of losing financial liquidity due to difficulties on the agricultural market caused by the Russian invasion of Ukraine.
