€20 million for gambling addiction treatment centers

In a meeting with the press, the new president of the National Gambling Office (ONJN), Vlad-Cristian Soare, stressed the need to use social responsibility funds, amounting to 20 million euro, for the construction of treatment centers for gambling addiction and for prevention programs. He also mentioned the digitalization of the institution and stricter controls on operators. In the last month, sanctions applied in the field exceeded 700,000 lei and one license was suspended. Soare assured that applications for self-exclusion of addicts are now being processed efficiently.
