Environment Minister, Diana Buzoianu, has ordered an inspection of landfills by the Environmental Guard because of summer fires linked to poor waste management.

Diana Buzoianu has announced a thematic control of landfills by the Environmental Guard, due to frequent fires during the summer, caused by improper waste treatment. The Minister emphasized that insufficient recycling contributes to increased fire risk. A Government Decision has also been sent to strengthen the capacity of the Environmental Guard, regulating the use of drones and bodycams for more effective controls.
