The firefighters from Zalău intervened on Thursday morning after a strong smell of gas was reported in an apartment in a residential building. 27 residents were evacuated.

Upon the arrival of the crews, the smell was intense, and the intervention included stopping the gas supply and ventilating the spaces. Inspections revealed gas leaks near a cooking appliance, and one person reported feeling unwell, requiring medical attention and transport to the hospital. On-site, a crew from DelGaz Grid was present to fix the malfunction. Although there are no further issues, the gas supply remains shut off until the repairs are completed. Firefighters recommend that citizens report any suspicious gas odors.
