On February 25, 2026, all trade union federations in Education, both from pre-university education and from higher education, will organize a protest in front of the Cotroceni Palace. Marius Nistor, the president of the 'Spiru Haret' Trade Union Federation, stated that Nicușor Dan promised to mediate the conflict with the Government, but has not acted in this regard.

The protest, scheduled between 12:00 and 13:30, will gather over 500 participants and aims to repeal the austerity measures imposed in education, which affect the quality of the educational act and lead to an increase in the risks of school dropout.

Trade unionists are demanding a return to the previous teaching norm, an adjustment of the number of students in classes, and appropriate pay for teaching staff.

They also emphasize the lack of a minister dedicated to education who can support the interests of this sector.
