The Free Trade Unions of Education, "Spiru Haret" and "Alma Mater", will organize a protest on February 4, in front of the Government, dissatisfied with the measures adopted that negatively affect salaries, working conditions, and the dignity of the teaching profession.

Approximately 2,000 people are expected to participate in the demonstration, which will include banners and audio means, according to the legislation. Union leader Ion Zoican stated that the austerity measures are anti-education and called for their repeal, mentioning that 15,000 positions have been eliminated and allowances have been reduced. The unions are demanding, among other things, the restoration of teaching norms and scholarships for students, arguing that these measures have a significant impact on education.
