The European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) has issued a warning for airlines, urging them to avoid Iranian airspace due to the current situation and the risks of a possible American military action.

EASA emphasized the need for caution and the implementation of contingency plans for operations in neighboring regions, especially near American military bases. The warning will be valid until February 16 and reflects the escalation of tensions following protests in Iran. EASA mentioned that Iranian air defense forces are on heightened alert, which increases the risk of misidentification of civilian flights. The agency is also monitoring the situation to assess the level of risk, in the context of the U.S. bolstering its military presence in the Middle East.
