DNA prosecutors have indicted 26 people, including environmental commissioners, for corruption and abuse of office in Botoșani.

26 people, including commissioners of the Environmental Guard and employees of the Environmental Protection Agency of Botoșani, have been indicted by DNA for protecting companies that violate environmental rules. The charges include bribery, abuse of office and intellectual forgery. The public officials are accused of failing to apply legal sanctions following controls and accepting undue benefits, including money and goods, in order not to sanction breaches of environmental legislation.
