A malfunction caused by excavations on Puțul lui Crăciun street led to the interruption of natural gas supply for 940 customers in sector 1 of Bucharest.

Distrigaz Sud Rețele has announced that, following some mechanized excavation works carried out by Porr Construct on Pușculița lui Crăciun street, a failure occurred in the natural gas distribution network. As a result, gas supply was interrupted on several streets in sector 1 of the Capital, affecting 940 customers, both residential and non-residential.

The incident was reported on October 30, 2025, starting at 12:30 PM. Distrigaz Sud teams are on site to remedy the defect, and the resumption of supply is estimated for 7:00 PM. The company has provided instructions for customers in case they smell gas after the service is resumed, including calling the emergency center and safety measures.
