The police and DIICOT prosecutors in Craiova conducted 17 searches in Bucharest and seven counties, in a fraud case regarding the recycling of electronic waste. The group, formed in 2024 by five individuals, falsely reported the collection of waste and collected over 3.2 million lei from the Environmental Fund Administration, using false documents. The suspects were taken for questioning.
