The research conducted by Babes-Bolyai University and other institutions found that while digitization does not influence the profitability of companies in the automotive industry in the first two years, it contributes significantly to the efficiency of asset utilization. The study analyzed leading companies in the industry, revealing that digital technologies have a positive impact on efficiency, but financial profitability only emerges in the long term. The project is funded by the European Union through the NRRP and runs until 2026.
