Digi Communications N.V. has announced a proposal for the distribution of free shares to its shareholders, which will be subject to a vote at the Extraordinary General Meeting of Shareholders on March 20, 2026. This initiative aims to convert a portion of the previous profits and reserves of the company into share capital, without requiring financial contributions from investors.

According to the plan, the company could issue up to two new Class A and B shares for each existing share, which could increase the total number of shares from 100 million to 300 million. This measure is intended to improve market liquidity and accessibility of DIGI shares, while maintaining the same ownership structure. The free shares will be automatically distributed to registered shareholders, and their issuance is expected to be completed by June 30, 2026, with further details to be communicated later. Digi Communications N.V. is a leader in the telecommunications market in Romania and also operates in other European countries.
